A scene from the movie, Freedom Writers, based on a true story of the students of Room 203, Winston
High School who changed from a group of apathetic delinquents to a closely knit, motivated family with Erin Gruwell as their guide. Miep Gies, their idol who was willing to risk her life in order to hide Anne Frank was invited to the school for a talk.

“Oh, no. No, young man, no. I am not a hero. No. I did what I had to do, because it was the right thing to do. That is all. But even an ordinary secretary or a housewife or a teenager can, within their own small ways, turn on a small light in a dark room. You are the heroes. You are heroes every day.”
